I am interested in portraiture as record-keeping and fascinated by how people change over time. Our faces bear the evidence of the lives we live. This project began in 2008 as a way of documenting the passing of time as a family. I've always had in my mind the idea of evidence when making work - evidence of existence, of being, of time passing. I began making portraits of the three of us and it became a part of our routine as a family - a way of marking time and also keeping a record of how we all change together.
